FONT MONTAGE
This is my font montage for my music magazine. The one i have chosen for my final design is on the bottom right hand side of the page, i chose this one because it is unusual and will catch the publics eye when it is on the shelf.
intial music mag ideas
I haven't as yet chosen a name for music magazine but have chosen Eight ideas on my typographic mood board.
The first demographic i looked at for my magazine was gender. I have decide to aim my magazine at males because i believe there isn't many magazines about more than one type of music. the age i would like to target my magazine at is 16-21 year olds because i believe these are the people most likely to be interested in band news and reviews. This age range i think will have a lot more time to read the magazines and also be more influenced by the advertisements in the magazine. My magazine intellect will not be two high as to appeal an be understood by everyone but it wont be dumbed down to much to then put people off. my magazine will be solely based in the UK. It will show bands and artists from around the globe.
I also have looked at psychograpic for my magazine in terms of looking at the culture of my readers. I have found several tribes that my magazine would appeal to.

http://uktribes.com/?p=tribe&id=3 (gamers)
http://uktribes.com/?p=tribe&id=30 (young alt)

I have chosen that my magazine will be priced at around £3.00 as i believe this is a good round price for a magazine and is slightly cheaper than most of the magazines around at this time. My magazine will be out monthly as people may think it is too expensive to buy every week but once a month is more manageable.
